Choosing Frames for Making Jewelry: Part 2

This is John Mendez with Expert Village. We are going to choose a frame for our jeweled frames. I usually choose a glass frame for this project because it has a lot of weight to it. You can see this is a three quarter inch frame so it is really heavy. Nice and strong, it feels like a giant paper weight and it's really solid. Today I am going to use an aluminum frame which is much lighter and feels just as heavy when you get it all jeweled because we are jeweling it with crystal and glass and we will be finishing it with enamel, so this will heavy up really really fast. This is a nice three inch, three by five frame with a small boarder that we can jewel all around here so we can get rid of all of this plain look and it will look similar to this when we are finished.
