Choosing A Clasp for A Necklace

This is John Mendez with Expert Village and I am going to show how to choose a clasp for this particular necklace. We don't really need a connector with a clasp. Usually most clasps have an additional tag to catch onto but since these are large jump ring loops we want the look to be infinite so that if you clasp does show it wont even look like a clasp. I have chosen a few different clasps. You can do a round, you can do a large lobster claw or a small lobster claw depending on really the dexteriority of your own hands. If you are going to wear it or if you to give it away you may want to chose a round one. Most people like the round ones. I tend to use the lobsters because they just look a little more professional but for this particular one I think we will just use the round. And I will show you what it looks like on the finished piece. Here is our finished piece and it's not and eighteen gauge only so that when you are feeling around you can find it much easier. If it was the same gauge it would be kind of hard to find the little tab. But its a nice clean look and it doesn't look like it's a clasp so if it does get seen it's a nice clean look. So that is the clasp that we have chosen for it and you don't need any additional hardware for it.
