Elements of Figure Painting

Hi I am David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to paint with acrylics the female figure. So in closing the few things you should remember is to first build with the lighter colors you want to go with your yellows up to your darks because once you get to your darker colors it is really hard to take it back down. Also you can do your composition with the yellow, you can do it with pencil but I have found that with the acrylics and the lighter colors the pencil will show through and then you can't erase it because it is underneath the paint. Just pay attention and take your time, watch the highlights and you can say a lot with a little with these highlight and the accessories and the hair. With the background don't just use the basics in your tube you can mix it up and then you will get richer colors in your painting. So thanks for being with us today.
