Go Kart Oil

Hi my name is Tommy and I am speaking for the, on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to talk a little bit about oils for your go-kart. Most of the racing karts are two-stroke and they take an oil in the fuel. The fuel actually is in the fuel tank which is between your legs which most people have a little bit of a problem with that the first time that they ever see it, but there's, I've never heard of anyone in a racing kart getting burned up from a fire while it was between their legs. The oils you mix at different ratios, depending on what kind of motor it is. The most, the ratios run six to eight ounces of oil per, per gallon of gas, we run a little bit more oil than the motorcycles do, even though it's the same motor because we load the motors so harder than the regular go-kart, I mean the regular motorcycle motors. There's lots of different oils, you can buy most of your, your better oils at the kart shops, also some of the motorcycle shops have very good oils, Motul is one of the better brands. Sometimes they use castors, and sometimes they use synthetics. There is also blends of oils, we use, we like the fully synthetics, they seem to be better on the motor, they don't dissipate in the gasoline, they stay a thin suspension better. They tell you not to use castors in very cold weather, you have a real tendency to stick your motor. So that's why we use the synthetics.
