What is a TAG Go Kart?

Hi, my name is Tommy and we're speaking on behalf of Expert Village today. We are going to talk a little bit about the TAG Karts. TAG is an acronym for touch and go, its electric start, they actually have a button on them and a starter has a battery that runs the starter. Most of the motors are a 120CC to a 125CC. They all have a clutch that engages very low, they are built mostly for recreational, but now they've really started racing them a lot. The recreational is why they were built and they, they might last a little longer, the pistons and stuff, but they are not so much a full race motor but they're a really good way to start out. And they are very fast, they produce about twenty horsepower, they have different gear ratios, you have different clutch sizes, sprocket sizes, and you can make your gear ratio for the track you are at. They have, most of them have aluminum radiators and are water cooled. Most of them run only the rear brake; they have no front brakes on them. This is a motor, it's called a PRD, it's made in twain, and it?s a fairly new name coming out. Most of the motors we use are made in Italy. With the euro the way it is, the cost is driving way up. The Parilla Leopard, which is the most popular, just went up to twenty-eight hundred dollars for the motor package. The new PRD, like this one, runs sixteen hundred for the motor package, so that's why we are trying the new ones.
