Bringing the Alfredo Sauce to a Boil
Hey it’s Chef Dominic with Expert Village. Our sauce is actually starting to boil which means it is almost done; about another 3 or 4 minutes. Oh! There goes my timer. What does that mean? Check the pasta. So we are going to go real quick. Switch subject on you guys here. I am actually going to pull out a piece of pasta and kind of see where we are at texture-wise with it. Free noodles so why not see where we are at. About another 2 minutes on the pasta and the pasta will actually be al dente. If you look here at the sauce, you will see that the sauce is starting to bubble up and it looks very wrinkly on top. That is just the film of the sauce and actually this sauce is on its way to being made; being creative. We are going to continue to mix a little bit more. It is starting to thicken up. Now you notice it is starting to get a little bit of clump. It is going to be a little bit clumpier in there which is what we are looking for. We are looking for the bubbles, the wrinkles. That is what is going to give it its thickness and that is what is going to give it our texture. It is coming together very very well and this is just smelling awesome. It is just smelling great. Your neighbors are going to smell the sauce from a mile away. All right, stay tuned. We are moving on.
