Hi! This is Brenda and today we are working on our acrylic painting projects. The first part probably that we should begin with is to cover up our clothing with some type of apron so that we won’t be getting any paint spills on ourselves. We will need a sketch pad like this one which you can by at the art store or craft store. I am going to just choose this paint brush to being with. This is the one that has got the flat head. I have already put a little paint here in my plastic paint pallet and I like to just practice it first, just to kind of get used to my brush strokes and as you can tell, I just make a flowing stroke like this which is very easy. I have got some green paint. I am going to dip into that to make a contrasting color and that kind of gives you an idea what that brush is like. Now let’s say that I would like to do some very detailed work, so I am using my smaller brush the one with a very tiny tip to it and this is good like if I have some very minute work that I need to do or some drawing or maybe lettering that I want to do and it does not take much of the ink. I can almost use this for calligraphy like this with that stroke. and then I am going to try out this brush. This is my stenciling brush. This is the one with flat head. It also gives kind of an interesting effect like if I wanted to do something like this and we must always remember that when we finish our paint job that we need to clean up with some soap and water because if you don’t, these brushes will hardened during the night and then it is difficult to work with the next day if you have another paint project.
