Skimming Ground in Powered Paraglider

Welcome to Expert Village. My name is Hugh Murphy with Surf the Sky Paragliding. In this clip, we're going to talk about low ground skimming which is a bit more advanced technique. Because if we're a couple hundred feet up in the air, there's not any terrain that we really have to worry about in an immediate ascent. When we're ground skimming, it's very important to maintain a smooth throttle control to maintain a level flight just two feet off the ground with the cage. Which then allows you to either draw your foot onto the sand and write your name in the sand, or get creative which is a very enjoyable way to fly. And, this maneuver called the foot drag in the para motor competitions is a more advanced technique. So, this is definitely not something that you want to start out with until you have dozens of hours of para motoring.
