Testing PH Levels in a Hot Tub

OK, we're going to show you what you need to do with the test after you've completed the test for the PH in a spa. As you can see on this test the PH is showing a little bit high, which basically means that the PH is to base. Which means we need to add more acid to that. The reason that we need to do that, if your PH is to base, you have a tendency to have solids percipitate out of the water causing possible staining and also hard water deposits can form on the equipment and in your jets and on the spa surface itself. Also the PH of your skin if it's out range may irritate the body as well. So, so those three reasons we adjust the PH. To adjust the PH, we simply take PH decreaser, there are various names for this product in the industry. It's a, a dry form of acid basically to adjust that PH. In this case we're going to add about one tablespoon, we throw it in the spa and let the spa circulate for a few minutes to get the PH in its right zone. Also the main reason we want to adjust the PH is for the life of the product. If your PH isn't kept imbalance and range than the spa equipment, jets, heater, pumps will last you for years and years without problem.
