How to Style Curly Men's Hair

Hi my name's Teri Lynne and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. And I'm here with David O'Donnell and we're going to show you in this segment how to work with curly or wavy hair. So he's started with a nice damp hair which is great for that. You don't want to wait until you're hair is completely dry if you have wavy or curly hair. The best thing you want to do when it's damp, if you have really curly hair, use a little bit of product, usually a gel works the best, and you want to be using the scrunching technique, if you want to keep it wavy or curly, but not frizzy all day. Now David's hair is wavy, but it's not curly and it doesn't frizz, so we don't actually need to use any product. And if you don't need product, I recommend not using it. It has a nicer, fresher look to it. Your hair doesn't get as dirty quite as quickly as if you use product. What we can do with his hair is damp, we just want to scrunch it as it's drying. When its air and I would air dry your hair if it's wavy. And you just want to, just to keep the wave in it just do some scrunches, so you're just taking your hand into little balls and you're scrunching it. And that will keep his hair having a nice managed wavy look to it. And while it's drying throughout the morning he can just take it every once in a while, just take his fists up to it and just give a nice scrunch, and that will keep the nice wave in it.
