How to Manage a Home Office

Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about how to design the home office of your dreams. In this clip, let's talk about the management of your home office. By that, I mean a couple of different things. It depends one, if you were your own boss. If you were your own boss, you still are running a home business, or a business that is being run basically out of your home. If you have a home office and you are working for an employer, that is where I'm talking about considering the management of your home office. There's a couple of things to think about. Who is paying for your computer? Who is paying for your supplies? Are you responsible? Do you work solely off of commission all of those things are up to you, or will your employer cover some of the cost? The cost of your computer, if something fails or you lose something, or your computer crashes, who is liable for that? You or your employer? A lot of different things to consider. You have to think about. Even though you have a home office and you're working out of your home, you're still a business. You're still an operating business. All of those same procedures that you would have underway in an office setting shouldn't be influenced into your home office base as well.
