How to Use a Chalk Box & Pencil

We're talking about a variety of hand tools and stuff that we're using on the job sites. One of the most important tools is a pencil. It's one of the first tools that you want to break out. Me, I like a big pencil cause when I make a mistake, I make them big. These here are something that you always want to carry inside your tool box. Another item too that you want to be able to carry is a chalkbox. You would be able to measure out your sheet rock, your plywood, figure out where you want to lay your walls on the floor with this chalk box, it will give you a straight line from one area to the other that will be able to lay your boards down or start your tiling along or anything. Chalk boxes come in a couple different sizes. They're all basically designed the same way. Chalk box is set up like this, comes with a fill top to put you new caulk in it. It opens right here, you fill that with your new caulk, comes with a little hook on the end of it, you want to be able to hook it to what you're marking, when it holds there, like that, then you have somebody snap it. You want to make sure that you keep this string taunt so that there is no waves or anything in this chalk line and that you will be able to get a nice crisp line out of the chalk line.
