How to Stretch Your Triceps

Hi I'm Jabari Pride and we're back with ExpertVillage.com talking about some upper body stretches to do before competing in a track event. So the next stretch that we're going to do is a tricep stretch. Okay, if I'm going to stretch my right tricep, I take my right arm, reach up above me, and then bending at my elbow, keeping my bicep close to my head, I bring my hand down behind my back. Now to really get that tricep, I take my left hand, I place it on my elbow and I push back this direction with my hand, so that I really feel the stretch in my tricep. At the same time, I take this hand right here and I really try to touch the ground behind me. I actually really can't do it, but the feeling is like you're trying to touch the ground behind you. So, if you want to even get more of a stretch into it, you can lean to the opposite side. So if I'm stretching my right arm, I'm going to lean to my left side. So, I'm leaning to my left side, I'm going to bring my right arm down, and push back with my left hand to really get that tricep stretch. You're also, if you lean enough, you can also feel the stretch in your right lat. So here's that stretch. So from the starting position, up, down, reach, pull it back and lean.
