How to Write an Online Dating ProfileHi, I'm Marilyn Anderson, I'm the author of the dating book "Never Kiss a Frog." I'm here today on behalf of expertvillage.com to talk about how to do effective internet dating. Right now we're talking about the dos and don'ts of writing a profile. The profile is a really important aspect of your internet dating site. Because it invites people to meet you and it tells people who you want to meet. Yet sometimes people write these profiles without even thinking about what they say. Think about what you're saying when you write your profile. Remember people are looking at it because they might want to meet you. I've read some pretty strange things on peoples profiles. Here's an example of some of them. "The woman I would like to meet is not that exist on this earth." What woman could compare to that? "I am looking for someone who can understand how important my job, my friends and my hobbies are to me and they are willing to give me space to do everything by myself." Why are they on the internet if they want to do everything by them self? Here is a very common one; "My picture is from a few years ago, I'd be happy to send you a current one, I look totally different." Let's put on the right picture folks. You want to be honest with people. Don't say that you like to go bungee jumping, sky diving and water skiing, if you don't because you may just meet someone who likes to do those things and then when you get out there behind the boat on the water, hot water is the only thing you're in.
