How to Set Up Email on Website Templates

Hello everyone, I am Terry Bowden, for Expert Village. We are taking a look at template website. Now, I've been showing you how to do different things, like adding a page and photos, and a map, a calendar. These are just some of the tools that you can use, and there's a lot of more other pages that you can use too, as we went through earlier. Now, remember that they only way you can go in here and make these changes, is if you log in, using your name and password that you were provided at the very beginning, so keep that in mind. All the tabs off course are up at the top. So now we are going to go into our tool section again, which is the tab at the top, and this where the e-commerce, site options, and account info, very important information are here. It has your credit card information, and your account manager here. And now, let's go to e-mail set-up, we all want our own e-mail. So you go to e-mail setup, and it says please read importantly. Now, when you first log in, you are going to get, let's say a member in motorcycles.com, we used that earlier, well before you get your domain, it's going to be motorcycles.website1.com. Now, when you get your domain, it will all change over to motorcycles.com, so don't enable your e-mail, until you get your domain; because you don't want motorcycles.website1.com, you want motorcycles.com, so remember that. So, if you do put John, Mary, Peter, or what have you, make sure that it's John@motorcycles.com, not motorcycles.website1.com, you see what I am saying? So make sure, because you don't want to do that. We are going to go to another site, because off course I can't go here and enable this one, because we are using the actor's club site, and they've already got their setup. So, we are going to go to the help section, very, very important, creating your e-mail account; and when you go there, it will give you all the options, start out with tools on the tool bar, like we did. Add account tab, scroll down, and it gives you all the information on sending-receiving e-mail, and which web-based did you use, whether it is Outlook 2000, Outlook 2007, that's the latest, Outlook Express, Vista Window Mail, Netscape, Thunderbird, and so on. So, it will tell you exactly how to set up, because it gives you very, very detailed instructions. Alright, when we come back, we will take a look at the help section and an overview of how to build your own website.
