How to Add Maps to Website Templates

Hello everyone, Terry Bowden with Expert Village. We're right in the middle of making your own website through a website portal. It's called Websites One, and it's template based so they pretty much already have the pages made for you. You just have to put in your own text, photos, et cetera. So now we're going to make a map. So, we go down, and you would use this to let someone know where your business is located, or if you're going to have a party or get together. It can be used for a lot of different things. Very easy to use. Watch this. Click on "map." We're going to leave the title map. We won't change it this time. Add the page. Alright, now here's the body of it, what it will look like, and you can make, you can change the map to a lot larger to be on the page. We'll go do that. We'll go down to thirty-six. Now it says "edit" and then "add location," so that's what we'll do. Let's add location. Alright, now name of the location we'll put what we used earlier, radio station. We'll use that one. And let's use something that's popular, two thirty-three Broadway. We all know where that is, right, good old Big Apple, New York, New York. Alright, zip code, oh, it's already there. There you go. Now, we can put a description in there. The radio station will be here or whatever. Now, you can put in your own map right here. You'll click to change right here on the black box here, or you can just "add map" and it'll do it for you. Add map. We'll save it. And if you notice, you can put in more maps, too. Not just one, you can put in several maps. So let's say if you're a pretty good sized business and you have eight locations, put them in there. So that's done. Let's take a look at what we've done. We're going to "view". Radio station, two thirty-three Broadway. Let's click to view it. Click takes us right to MapQuest. How easy is that? Now, they found a similar location for that, so let's click on it right here. That's a suggestion here that we'll click, and presto! There we go. How convenient is that? You didn't have to research. You didn't have to actually go to MapQuest and do all this yourself. The program, the software did it for you, and that's the advantages of using a template based program. They've already did the hard work for you. You don't have to learn HTML, or learn Dreamweaver or any of those other programs. They do it for you. That's the convenience of using it, of using this type of program.
