Hi, this is Jimmy Hartman on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip, we'll be showing you a quick tip to make easy button glares without having to do the gradients. It's not always necessary to make the white, transparent, gradient on your buttons for the glare effect. We have another, really simple way that will create the glare effect without having to use the masking or using the gradient. So, let's go ahead and go with file, new, and we'll make it 300 by 300. Let's go ahead and draw our rounded rectangle, radius 10. Undo that. We need to make that on a new layer and we'll add a layer style. I'm going to quickly add a gradient overlay with one of the presets we did earlier in the tutorial. The blue preset. We'll add an inner glow. Make it white. Bring the size up; a little more transparent. We'll add a small stroke to it; the light bluish color. Bring the size down. Make it inside and bring our paucity down. That's the stuff I've already gone over in the other tutorials so I'm just buzzing through it real quick. Now for the glare on the button, we can easily just create another layer and we can do this either with a rounded rectangle or a square marquis tool. I'm going to use rounded rectangle here and switch my fore color to white. I'm just going to start in my upper left corner, go ahead and drag across my button here until I get to the other edge and bring it down and put it right there. Just take that layer and in your paucity setting just go ahead and drop it down a bit. You're going to control "t" to adjust that layer and bring the glare down a little bit more and that is a quick easy way to make your glare for your button. Move this over just a little bit. Now we're going to just add a little text there so you can see it a little bit better. Go ahead and make it a white text in the center here and we'll type "Contact Us". It's always good to add your text below that glare layer so you still see the effect. The text will be affected if you add say a drop shadow or something to it. Put a quick drop shadow. Now you can see that if you add the text above, you can see the drop shadow on the top here, come out. If you bring it below that layer, you can see that that glare kind of affects that text.
