If you are in situation in which the up card is turned down, OK, and it goes pass, pass, pass, pass, pass and he turns it down, we just touched on this earlier. Suppose that the dealer turns down the king of diamonds, OK, and you hold a couple of hearts like that, not necessarily great ones, but a couple of hearts like that. Maybe this type of hand. This is not a supercharged hand. Diamond has been turned down, I always call hearts. I'm hoping that my partner will have hearts for me, or maybe be able to pick up my hand. I know darn well that if I pass this then we will have a situation where the partner is, this partner, he turned down hearts, he turned down red. If I turn down my red suit there's probably a lot of black cards between these two hands and they're going to lock right onto that. So if the partner turns down a red card, go to the other red suit. If a partner turns down a black card, go to the other suit, which in this case is spades. And you'll find call is going to be very efficient.
