Applying a Second Base Paint for Refinishing a Door Jamb

MARK BLOCKER: Hello. I'm Mark Blocker on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to be applying the final coat to our door jamb project, and I'll be applying--just like the previous coats, although we want to spend a little bit more attention to the detail, take our time, do a really good job, this is the last coat, make sure you get brushstrokes in real good and get the paint to lay down so it's all nice and smooth and hopefully, we won't need to do anymore touch-up after this point and the door will be ready to install and we'll have completed our project. So, in step 1, we'll just go back through as we've done in previous steps and start with our cut in and just pick a point in the door, work your way around, get all your corners and edges--everywhere the roller won't get to and just take your time, do a good job, this is the last coat, and just continue around until you get all your cut in done. Just pay attention to detail, good, strong smooth coats. This is what they call the money coat. This is the one that makes the difference. This is the one that people are going to judge your entire job by, so you want to make this a nice, good coat and show everybody you take pride in your work. Okay. Now that we finished our final coat on the cut in, we just have to go back over it with the roller. So, watch our next segment on "Final Coat, Finish Coat of the Paint Part 2".
