How to Change the Blades on a Reciprocating Saw

Hi, my name is Ed Reyes with Master Builders here in Tampa, Florida and I am representing Expert Village. We are going to show you how to use a reciprocating saw properly. The way you would change a blade on this particular unit is there is a hex-head screw right here. You would insert your wrench counter clockwise, loosen it up. This blade will pull straight out. When you insert your new blade, make sure that your blade is facing up. Blade goes back in, make sure you tighten it very tight with the hex wrench and make sure that the blade goes all the way in. Different types of blades are going to fit in differently. You want to find the blade that is made for your type of saw here. We recommend Dewalt. Different types of blades are going to be longer, smaller, either wood, metal. Either way, they are all going to mount the same way directly in and tighten.
