Using Cotton to Start a Friction Fire

Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today, you're going to learn how to start a fire with friction. So now we have our kindling in place. What we're using is just some cotton from a two-by-two cotton absorbent pad. So then we have our small rope twisted once around the spindle, and then we have our bow crafted out of a green piece of stick so it'll be springy. And then our top bearing is simply a rock with holes in it that we scraped out with another rock to make a smooth face for our top bearing. So, if you are on desert isle, this is the setup that you're looking for right here. This is even, even though it may appear difficult, if you are on a desert island and you need to make a fire, you will remember this setup right here.
