Friction Fires & Seeing Smoke

Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. And today, you're going to learn how to start a fire with friction. Okay, so this is where - oh, you see the smoke coming up out of there? So it's getting hot and we did get some smoke. Next we'll just keep doing that and if I can get this thing to going back and forth we'll get a... Okay, so you saw the smoke. It is getting hot in there. Oh, yeah, it's definitely charring the end of our stick. What we need now is some material to place into here which will ignite easily. So I'm going to get a little bit of dryer lint. But you can use whatever you have on your desert isle.
