Range of the Alto Sax

Hi! My name is Leslie Burnick and I’m speaking on behalf of Expertvillage.com. Today I’m going to talk about the range of the saxophone. Again this is the alto saxophone, it does go down to a low B flat, the berry sax goes down to a low A. I am going to play for you a chromatic scale, also the saxophone usually goes up to high F above the, above the staff. I’m going to play a chromatic scale from low D to high D and then back down. So that’s the chromatic scale on the saxophone that would be as you have played all the white keys and black keys in order on the piano.
