How to Use the Laser Line on a Motorized Miter Saw

Hi, this Ed Reyes with Master Builders from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is how you use and maintain a miter saw. This particular saw has a very nice feature on it. It is a laser unit. It is a little piece of section here that mounts on top of the blade and there is a laser on the inside that turns with the blade, there's the laser. So as you are bringing your saw down, you will see a line going across your piece of wood with a red line where the laser is. Line that up with your pencil mark and as you cut, you will cut straight down your pencil line. There's no room for error. That is a very simple feature and I highly recommend it. It is mounted on with the blade, the unit goes on top and it tightens in. A very nice feature to have when you are cutting very very small pieces of wood and you need something that is going to be cut just right where there is no putty or no caulking. You just have a small seam where the joints come together and you can sand them. This is the unit to use for that.
