How to Make a Compound Cut Using a Motorized Miter Saw

Hi, this is Ed Reyes with Master Builders from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is how you use and maintain a miter saw. Now this particular saw features a compound saw which means two angle cuts at the same time. So we are going to cut a 22 1/2 degree angle this way and we are going to cut a 33 1/2 degree angle this way. To set this machine all you need to do is pull back on this black handle and the saw will go back at any angle that you choose. It's marked 4530150, the same on the other side at 33 1/2 and all the way down to increments of .1. We will set it at 33 1/2 degree angle and we are going to cut it compound saw of 33 1/2 degree angle this way and a 22 1/2 degree this way. Now you notice you have a 22 1/2 this way, 33 1/2 this way. So when you have your two pieces together, they fit like that.
