How to Play Octaves on an Alto Saxophone
Hi! My name is Leslie Burnick and I’m speaking on behalf of Expertvillage.com. And today I’m going to talk about the role of the octave key. Saxophone is very easy because to change octaves to go from the lower note to the higher note you are simply going to just press this key in the back, the octave key. So without the key pressed you would be playing the lower G, and then pressing the octave in the back, you go higher, you go an octave higher. So again one more time. So it makes it very simple on saxophone to change octaves.
