How to Set the Guide Angle on a Sabre Saw

Hi! My name is Ed Reyes with Master Builders in Tampa, Florida. I am here on behalf of Expert Village and I am going to use you how to use the proper use of a sabre saw. Now this saw, you can cut at a 90 degree cut. This also has a setting back here; this black nob that turns and as you turn it, it loosens up this base so that you can tilt it at any angle that you want all the way up to a 45 degree angle. When it is at the angle that you choose, simply tighten it back up and you can cut at an angle now. It has settings back here to show you what degree you have and you have a tilted base that is cut at your desired degree. When you come down, you want to make sure the base of your unit is flush with the plywood. Your saw will be at an angle. That is normal and then you proceed to cut straight through at that angle. When you finish, simply reverse and loosen it up again, set it back to 90, tighten it back up and continue with your cutting.
