How to Handle a Sabre Saw

Hi! My name is Ed Reyes with Master Builders in Tampa, Florida. I am here on behalf of Expert Village and I am going to show you how to use the proper use of a sabre saw. Now the quick way to handle this saw, it is a hand held saw. If you notice it gives you ergonomic design here where your hand fits on there. This is mainly a cushion because this saw will vibrate and it gives you relief on your palm when you are pushing down. You reach around this way and you normally use these two fingers underneath your handle and it gives you that design where your two fingers fit. When you are cutting always have your piece of wood on a foundation that is not moving and you place the saw. It is important that you do not put the blade next to your cutting material. If you do that, the saw will kick back. If you put the wood on the base of the material about a half an inch away from the material that you are cutting and as you start you increase the pressure on the trigger and you begin to cut.
