Mario, great advise to have a multitaker tool such as the grinder instead of buying a chain breaker. I would suggest that better use of safety equipment such as eye protection in the future would be of better advise.

Remove the Chain of a Street Bike

Hello my name is Mario. I'm here with Expert Village and I'm here to show you how to change a chain and sprocket on a sports bike. Alright now we're getting ready to cut off the old chain. We're just going to use a cut off wheel with a medal disk, just cut through one of the old links. Now that we're ready to remove the old chain we're just going to find the old master link. You should see, this is a rivet link from the factory it's got a blue clip right here. I'm just going to cut through that one just to make it a clean cut right here. Also if you don't have this tool you can get a chain breaker. It's a lot more price effective to use something like this because those things can get pretty expensive. Now we're just going to cut this right here and right here. Alright now that we've cut through the chain both sides of the master link, go ahead and put the bike in neutral and just pull the chain off.
