How to Protect Lawn Mower Blade from Rust

Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, we will be protecting our lawnmower blade. Now one thing I like to do with my lawnmower blade is add a little protectant on it to keep that from rusting. To do this I am going to take a rag and put a little bit of oil on to that rag. Now this is the same oil that I put into the engine. I am just going to kind of work that around into the rag until it gets good and soaked with that oil. Once that rag is good and saturated, I am going to take that and I am going to wipe that over my entire lawnmower blade. Now you might need to add a little more oil to it and just make sure you get both sides of it. That oil is really going to help that blade from rusting especially while it is in storage.
