How to Use a Portable Work Light Safely

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I'll be talking about light safety. First off the lighted lamp head is extremely hot when lit and you do not want to touch any metal glass or wire part of the lamp head. If you're replacing a bulb in the lamp head, you want to make sure to turn off the lamp, unplug it and allow it to cool a while. When using the work light, make sure you only touch the on/off switch or the insulated handles and if while using it your skin feels hot, you want to make sure and move the light a further distance away from where you are working. Additionally you want to make sure that you never touch the bulb with your bare fingers at any time. The oils from your fingers will cause the bulb to be damaged.
