What is Canvas Framing?

Hello, I'm back again. My name is Amitavh Bhattancherji. I'm speaking on behalf of the Expert Village, and I represent my own company, Abstract Frames and Supplies, Pvt. Ltd. And now I will explain to you a canvas frame, how the frame is a synthetic frame, and if I turn the painting for you to see, the back portion is wood. So the canvas has been basically stretched on the wood. You will see that no nails have been used. We have used guns, and these pins are non rustproof so there is no way the canvas can be harmed. And the back portion of the canvas is not sealed, because the canvas is supposed to breathe. Canvas has been held to the frame with specially designed hardware and no nails have been used as you see in the painting. Now coming back to the front portion of the painting, very little portion of the painting has gone behind the frame and the frame, as you see, is again a synthetic frame with an angular design which is highlighting the painting. And this is the advantage of synthetic frames because in a wooden frame you would not have been able to get this color to highlight the painting. This canvas has been stretched on a wooden structure and a tension has been created so that the painting does not have vise in it. I hope I've been able to explain to you the framing of a painted canvas. Thank you.
