How to Rip a CD into Rhapsody

I'm Nick Brosco on behalf of Expert Village. And today we are going to learn how to rip from a cd into our Rhapsody library. So far we've learned how to add music from the Rhapsody on-line catalog and from files saved from our hard drive into our library in Rhapsody. Next, we are going to learn how to take an audio cd and rip those files or import those files into our Rhapsody library. So, just from the home screen here all I am going to do is I'm going to eject my cd drive on my computer, I'm going to take the audio cd that I want to rip and place it into the drive and close the drive. Once you've inserted you cd, if you look over on the left hand side under sources, you will notice that the cd has been recognized. Over here on the center screen we see all the tracks on the cd. As you can see, Rhapsody automatically recognized all the tracks on names and artists name that are on the cd. But if it did not, what we can do is, we can click once on here and then click again and the track name becomes highlighted with a cursor. If we press back space or delete we can type whatever we want in here. I'm just going to go ahead and rename the track. Then press enter when you are done. And to show how this works on artist, it works the same way. Push enter. So let?s say I want to import every single one of these tracks into my Rhapsody library. First we?re going to make sure all of them are checked, all the tracks are checked and they are. Then, next what we are going to do is we are going to go up over here to the button that says "import cd" and click it. As you can see the button has now turned to "cancel cd import" so we can cancel this operation at anytime. If you notice down here at the bottom of the Rhapsody jukebox we see a status bar that shows the progress of our import. When the import is complete, go over to the left hand side and go into my library. As you can see here under music and under the tracks we can see that the cd successfully imported. We can verify this by going over here under track type and seeing how the track types or imported tracks are set to imported. And that concludes this segment on how ripping from a cd into Rhapsody.
