Antique Dolls: Saucy Walker Dolls

Aaaah. Look at her! No, it's not an exorcist doll. It's a Saucy Walker. How creepy is that? This doll is an Ideal doll. Ideal is the company. They made a lot of dolls. They made those kinds--well, they made lots of dolls--but they made a lot of the dolls that do weird things like walk. I remember I had a doll that used to drink. You put a little drink in her mouth, and then it would come out the other end. And we did that for hours. That was quite entertaining. But this is a Saucy Walker, and she walks. Isn't she cute? These are from the 50's, and look at her. She does look a tad demented. But doll collectors would not like that I said that because doll collectors take their dolls very seriously. So I'm so sorry, Saucy. Let's look at Saucy. This would be her original dress, I think. And if it is her original dress that means that it retains her value. She also has both shoes. Good sign. Let's see if she can pull it off. Walking. I love it. Isn't she cute? Walking, walking. And see her size is--when you're little, you know, you like take her hand and you walk with her. Cute, isn't it? If you like that kind of thing. But, anyway, this Saucy Walker is probably worth in the neighborhood of $80, if it was in perfect condition, which it almost is. It has a few little dirty marks. And look at, how cute is this? Somebody put on a bracelet. That is so precious. So here is the little Saucy Walker. And if you see her, go take a little walk for me.
