Calling next is a powerful weapon in the game. We have talked about this previous. And it's basically the same principle. Now there are two forms of calling next. Some people will not call next unless they have something like this in their hand. This is not really a next call. You're going to call that suit no matter if this is red and he turns it down. You're going to call that suit anyway because you happen to have the right and two spades. However, um, it doesn't matter, there's some people who will call. Now most tournaments um, force you to have to call it with at least one natural. Some people say you can call it on anything. I've seen people call next without any, any trump in their hand. Dreadful. Dreadful. Why would you call a suit that you're void in? So if you're going to call next, at least do it with something in your hand. Um, I usually like the rule of two trump. Um, depending on the score, I might even call it with one trump, but I certainly wouldn't call it with a void. And I would prefer to call it with two decent trump. That's just my individual preference, but if you agree to do it with one trump and your partner and you agreed with that. That's fine too. Again, next calls are very efficient because, it gives you the opportunity to um, you know win the hand. Because obviously if he had support for him in this suit, he would have called something on his own. Go with the next call. It is a very good weapon.
