Tips for Collecting 1952 Life Magazines

Here we are. It's now 1952 when things are even better. We're really post war now and here are some British starlets in Hollywood. How fun. Look at how happy everybody is. Check out those hairstyles. As we progress into this period we have a little bit of propaganda which is fascinating. This is the Russians in the Olympics. And the title is How The Reds Mobilize To Win The Olympic War. Man that's kind of a husky lady isn't it? But anyway this is all about how they pursue the Olympics and how serious their culture took it to try to prove that they were better than the Americans, the Russians. As we proceed there's wonderful Flash Fire At Sea. Here's a section about a boat of survivors when a ship went down. This was probably extremely famous at the time. With the lifeboats. And if you look at that technology you'll see that that is extremely old and it's amazing that people lived. Kind of like Titanic Lite. Chesterfield. Once again we're hearing how wonderful smoking is. How many times have you seen this product. Do you even know what this is? Boraxo soap. This is kind of like a Comet cleanser. This is for when you really have dirty hands. So mechanics at the time used to scrub with this stuff and it's kind of like sandpaper on your hands. But it worked. it did the job as they say. So here we are with some hairstyles. Some Phillip Morris. And we're looking pretty cute in 1952.
