How to Iron Blue Jeans

Hi, I'm Marti. On behalf of expertvillage.com I'm going to share with you today how to press a pair of pants. We are going to be pressing a pair of blue jeans using starch. I also have a press cloth that if I need I can use it's a simple cotton cloth that I can place over my fabric. It helps to prevent sheen on fabrics scorching if you are worried about heat it's also another great tool to have. Since we are ironing blue jeans and they are made out of cotton it tends to be a heavier cotton so we are using extremely high heat and we are using water to create our steam. The steam is going to help us in the placement of our fabric. The first thing we are going to do is iron the inside our waistband all the way around our pants. You want to be careful when you are working with such a hot steam iron not to burn yourself. One of the best things you can use if you do happen to get a steam burn is oil.
