How to Do Lower Abdominal Exercises

This is Katie Bowers with Expert Village and we are working on abs. Particularly I want to focus on the lower region which is that little pouch area for women out there, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Especially if you've had children and you know it's a hard area. We're going to work from the belly button down. So here's a good way to keep support for your back which it is kind of is usually a lot of people's concern when you're doing a leg lift, you start to see an arch in that back. You don't want to be doing that, you don't want any pressure to be on your lower back. So with your hands and I'm lowering down here, placing my hands just right under my buns, you are going to feel like you have that support and you do. So lowering the legs down. A way to modify this and have even more support for your lower back is to just use the knees and keep them bent. So I lower them down and then for my more advance folk out there legs are going to be straight. Now doing this, you want to keep in mind; we're avoiding to arch the back. Lowering those legs down and bringing them back into your chest, maybe bring your hands behind your knees to get out of it. And you should feel that for sure.
