Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to be learning about how to organize your closet. In this clip let's talk about organizing your purses, your scarves, your jewelry and your shoes. So we're talking about organizing you closet, I do mean everything. Not just the clothing, but your shoes, your scarves, your purses. Sometimes purses actually make great accessories pieces for your house or within your closet. For instance in this room we have a dresser, cabinet here, and I've left a couple of purses out just for decoration. They look really good. You might leave them on the back of the chair for instance. But know where your purses are; know where to find them so that you’re not frantically searching around for them. Just like sometimes you're frantically searching around for your clothing. Same with scarves. There's so many different organizers out there that you can get. This one has little holes in it. Little holes that you can actually put your scarves through, you can find them. But there all together and they're all organized. They're not just in a big pile. Now you can put all your scarves in a cabinet as well or dresser drawers, that's just fine. Same with shoes. What I tend to do with shoes is keep them seasonal. You may have a ton of shoes and have them on the back of a closet door that opens up. I tend to keep my shoes in boxes. A couple of things you can do are either use the post it notes; I like post it notes because they don't leave marks on anything. But you can jot down what is in these particular boxes, whether they are stored beneath here or up high, to know what's in those boxes, for instance, different types of shoes. And then what I do for seasonal shoes or high heels is I leave a couple out here for decoration as well.
