Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to be learning how to organize your closet. In this clip, let's talk about how to organize those hanging clothes. By that I mean, where is everything going to go that you've got on the hangers of course. Now we have to think about this logically. Do you just throw everything back on the hanger and just, you know, put it in randomly, or do you do it in an organized fashion? A couple of different things to be thinking about is, if I am going to be wearing this shirt, am I going to take the hanger and just hang it back in here. I might not be able to find the hanger again or where the shirt went. But what I tend to do is I take these hangers and put them to the back of the closet or the back to the, to gather them all up, so when I'm done using this and wearing this I can find that spare hanger. We also need to keep in mind as well, the different types of shirts and things that we have, so what I tend to do is I will keep things that are short sleeved all in one pile here or all together here. Skirts, put them together, pants, put them together here. White shirts, put them together, collared shirts, colors that can go together. Are they long sleeved shirts are they short sleeved shirts? Again, nothing, there's no one way to do this for everyone, but figure out a system that works for you so that if you're looking for a short sleeved shirt, you know where to go for those short sleeved shirts. So if you can't find it there where is it? Perhaps in the laundry, but you're not frantically going through everything. Taking a little bit of time now will actually save you a lot of time in the long run later.
