Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to learn how to organize your closet. In this clip, let's talk about making your clothing real estate work for you. And by that I mean you need the tools to make that real estate work for you. So, are you just going to go out and get hangers? Do you need hangers? Have you assessed your hangers? Very important, are you using just the metal hangers. Now again, it can be costly and time consuming going in and changing everything, but I assure you, it is well worth it, especially if you've spent a great deal of money on your clothing. You want to make it last. So hangers, very important. One of the things I've mentioned in earlier clips some of your delicate things shouldn't be on hangers, but if you can get the really thicker, fancier hangers, something like this, it's okay to be on a hanger. So, you want to assess that. You also want to think about things like storage. If you are you putting things in storage, are you going to get the Rubbermaid tins. Or the buckets or in this case, there are so many closet organizers out there these days, in this room for instance we didn't opt for many of that. A couple of different things when we went out hanger shopping we got some neat hanger organizers you know, like for scarves. Something a little bit different and neat. But instead of using the Rubbermaid tins and organizers there, we instead opted for some decorative boxes so that when people when they walk by they may see, as you can see behind us here, or in these larger boxes, we keeps some of the storage items in these. It just makes things look a little more attractive and appealing.
