Hi I’m Angela on behalf of Expert Village.com and right now I am going to show you a way to increase flexibility. Right now I am going to show you how to stretch out your quad. This does increase flexibility when you are doing physical activity. What you want to do is have both legs in front of you to start out with to get in the proper position and then take this leg and put it behind you just like this. This is also a proper stretch to include flexibility for those who do hurdles. So you just want to lean backwards very lightly and you will feel the stretch in your quad. Just a slight discomfort. Don’t do it drastically or you risk damaging the muscle and the repair takes a long time. So I take it and hold it back for 10 to 15 seconds and then lift up again. You can do this exercise a couple of times on each leg. And the more you do it, the further you will be able to bend backward to where you can lay down. Don’t try to do this right away though. Just do it gradually to where when you do lie on your back, you are comfortable.
