Hi, I'm Doug. I work with 20 great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. In reinstalling the Drive Shaft be very careful when you're pulling the tape off, that you don't pull those bearing caps off. They really do just slide right on. There's nothing holding it on. He was careful to keep the end of the Drive Shaft clean where it stuffs into the transmission. You don't want to wipe out that seal. If you're working on a vehicle that's got miles on it, replace that seal on the transmission when you pull the Drive Shaft out. Now he's going to carefully line up the U-Joint bearing caps so they lie in there just right. If you look carefully there you can see that there's end nubs on the yolk on the Differential that holds the bearing caps in place. The U-Bolts only hold them fore and aft. The end nubs there keep them left and right.
