Hi! I'm Kelli and on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you some tips and techniques that I use to place a tail extension on your horse's tail. I am going to go over some of the basic supplies that you will need when tying an extension into your horse's tail. So the first thing is of course, your tail extension and these come in various different colors and various different sizes. So depending on how thick of one that you want, they can come in, this is a half pound one which basically is the weight of how much horse hair is on here. You can get pound sizes and they come in different lengths as well. So you definitely want to gage how much tail you want to tie in to make your horse's tail as full and long as you desire. You also will need really great tail brush and some detangler as well as a clip to clip your horse's tail up. You can get this at any beauty shop or hair accessory isle at your drugstore. It is just a basic clip. You will need some rubber bands. These can be bought at any tack shop. These are rubber bands that are made specifically for mane and tail. You want to make sure that your bands aren't old because these can become very brittle and they can break when they are old and you definitely don't want that to happen. You will also need a pair of scissors. These are some of the supplies that you will need when tying an extension into your horse's tail.
