Hi, I'm Rachel for Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make mandel bread 3 different varieties of the same mandel bread. Mandel bread can be used, can be baked with white flour or as I'm going to show you with wheat flour. People who wants to avoid wheat can use it with rice flour. Some people for Jewish holiday, the passover Jewish holiday are using malt meal instead and potato starch instead of the wheat flour which is possible too. It is a very tasty dessert, it is usually baked twice. Although it does not have to be baked twice if people like it softer then they don't need to rebake it to make it crunchier. What is special about is it is very similar to the Italian biscotti. It can have different ingredients inside like cocoa, chocolate chips, cinnamon, nuts, almonds, cherries, all variety of filling that a person wants. The dough itself is with a little bit of almond extract and vanilla extract which gives it a nice very gentle taste.
