Roasting Almonds for Mushroom Curry Recipe

Hi, I'm Amanda with Expert Village. In this clip, I'll be toasting the almonds. We have coursley chopped almonds that I will be working with today, the fire is on medium heat. I'm just going to put the almonds in here and dry roast them. Almonds are a good source of protein although they are high in fat they are high in mono saturated oils and that is the oils in the fat that help you to digest bad fats in your diet. They provide a really excellent source of mobilizing the different foods that we eat. They are also a great source of zinc, magnesium, calcium they have a nice sweet taste. Almonds are probably one of my very favorite nuts and they are delicious to cook with as well so in the process of toasting the almonds just keep turning them over stirring them just a bit to make sure they don't get to brown on one side. We want the almonds to turn a nice golden color.
