don't press, smash. in another video she used a serrated knife to mince garlic, now she uses a chef or butchers knife. and as always is using close to the tip of the knife. she may as well be using a pairing knife. she is afraid it's obvious, of cutting herself yet at the same time puts herself in the most danger by being scared. she apparently has good tools, why use them improperly? good ingredients too, just no knowledge of how to use cutlery even in the most basic, fundamental way. i don't mean to criticize harshly, but i wince when i watch her use big sharp knives.

How to Mince Garlic for Mushroom Curry

Hi, I'm Amanda with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to be mincing up garlic. Taking three cloves of garlic and mincing I'm just going to start by pressing down here to loosen up the skin and start to activate some of the enzymes of garlic. As I remove the skin again I'll press down and that really starts to activate the enzymes and the juices of the garlic which serve to be beneficial for colds and flues. Again as the onions and the garlic are in the same family a lot of the same properties the healing properties of the garlic as well as those onions. So mincing the garlic finely.
