Hello, my name is Grady Johnson and I'm a professional painter and today I represent expertvillage.com. Now I'd like to talk to you a little bit about cleaning up for painting. Now, once you've gone and cleaned up the bathroom to get it ready to drop it off and you drop everything off. You're going to want to go back over everything and do some final cleaning with your cleansers. So, I have some disinfectant stuff here, I've got some normal glass cleaner stuff here, some scrubby stuff here. And of course, a mildew killer, in case I run across something really nasty. But usually this glass cleaner is going to work for most things and I'm just going to hit the window sills for sure and just bump them down a little bit. And just clean it up, hit it with some more juice. Remember, you want to wipe that on down really good. Ohh, this is really bad in the corner, so I want to dig in there and kind of clean that up. And then once I've gotten that all cleaned up, then I'm going to go ahead and start getting these edges around here. All the areas I'm going to be painting up next to. Alright, looks like I've got a few cobwebs up here, too, and I'm going to work my way on around the room and clean up just the areas that I'm going to be painting. Now remember, it's not my job here to clean the bathroom. Okay? What I'm doing is cleaning the surfaces that I'm going to be painting. Alright? So, I'm going to be sure that everything that I'm going to be putting caulking on or spackling, has a nice clean surface so that everything is going to adhere to it properly. And these are just a few of the things you need to remember when you're doing that final cleaning, to do the final prep work to paint your bathroom in oil.
