How to Use Furniture to Create a Warm Entryway

Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to be talking about how to create a warm and inviting entryway for Christmas. In this clip, let's talk about decorating your entryway using furniture. Again, depending on the size of your entryway is going to depend on what type of furniture in your entryway. You have to think, especially during the holiday season, you're going to have a lot of people coming into your home perhaps for the season. You're also going to have depending where you live, you're going to have people with snow on their boots, so they need to take the boots off. You've got people coming in. They need a place to sit, which is why we're talking about furniture. Can you have a small chair? Is it a wooden chair? Is it a bench? Are people coming in taking off their boots? Is it feeling cozy? Can you indeed maybe have a love seat? We were talking in an earlier segment about having a mirror in your entryway to make the room look larger. You perhaps have a love seat underneath that mirror to make it feel not only larger, but more welcoming so that people do indeed have a spot to come in, sit down, take their shoes off, and get ready to come into your home and have a great time.
