How to Use Apple Loops in Logic Pro 8

I'm going to talk to you about the difference between the Apple Loops. There is the green apple loops, and then there's blue apple loops. Blue apple loops are audio apple loops, and you can just drag those right into your session, but the green ones actually are audio--they're audio loops, but they're also midi loops. They're midi loops that can be turned into audio loops. The only thing is, the audio ones can't be turned into midi loops. So what we've got to do here is, we can look at our different loops and whatever--let's see what we've got. We'll look at a certain beat or something... we have this beat right here. When bringing in an audio loop, make sure that you bring it into an audio file; that's the main thing. If you put it on a software instrument track, it's not going to play. Let's see, we'll put it right here and see if it plays. Yeah, you've got to make sure you put it on an audio track. The green apple loops are different, because you can actually take this apple loop, and you can put it on a software instrument track, or you can put it on an audio track. So if I put it on the software instrument track, it's definitely going to play, but I could also switch it over to the audio track, and it will still play.
